  IMG_1969.JPG - Gomphidious oregonensis , Insidious Gomphidious. All Gomphii have yellow at the base of the stalk and gills that run down the stalk.  The cap is very slimy, with debris aghering to it.  There are three common species: 1.G oregonensis (this one) cap is dull brown, buff, grey, or pinkish 2. G glutinosus, Hideous Gomphidious, cap is dark brown or dark grey 3. G.subroseus, Rosy Gomphidious, cap is bright rosy - see MD color plate 112.
