10/15/02 - whole disk sketch. AR0149 now has 31 spots, and is EHI which means bipolar, between 10 and 15 degrees in length, with penumbra on both ends. The H means it has a large symmetric spot is over 2.5 degrees in diameter. To put this big "H" spot in perspective, 2.5 degrees spans 12,000 miles and the diameter of earth is 7,900 miles. This means the big spot was 1 1/2 times the diameter of the earth!
