11/05/02 - Here are AR0181 and AR182, examples of the DSO classification. D for bipolar with penumbra on spots at both ends of the group and less than 10 degrees in length. S for small or symmetric spot with mature dark filamentary penumbra with a N/S diameter less than 2.5 degrees. O is for open meaning leader and follower spots with few or none between. In between the two big groups is EKI class AR0180.
