Mercator Sunrise Ray — 21 April 2002

South of the ghost crater Kies is the crater Mercator. On 4/21/02 10:45 p.m. PDT I observed a sunrise ray. An hour later the flooded crater floor was awash in light. Note the lunar dome to the right of Kies and above the sunrise ray. Telescope 180mm f/9 refractor, 300x. (Rulk 53)
