Messier 52 (NGC 7654) is a fine open cluster located in a rich Milky Way field. It is one of the sky's best open star clusters. The stars in an open cluster are usually relatively young, having been born at about the same time by condensing from gas clouds in space. Observed and sketched in the Anza-Borrego desert, CA. 2008-11-01.
