C. Herschel

Caroline Herschel's crater is small but beautiful. On April 22, 2002, a 10 day waning gibbous moon displayed C. Herschel beautifully. South of the larger "point" of Sinus Iridum, Promontorium Heraclides is C. Herschel. There are two ridges to the north and to the south of C. Herschel. Dorsum Heim is the ridge to the south. A small unnamed triple crater is to to the lower right, and Heis is below it. (Rulk 10) Telescope: AP180EDT f/9 refractor, 200x
