Sketches from Mt. Wilson - NGC 7662 the Blue Snowball Nebula

This was the favorite object of the group on this night!

The nebulosity in the central area was streaky. Several clumps of brighter nebulosity were evident, both on the inner and outer edges of the inner and outer shell. The central star was visible to everyone. I could even see some outer halo to the east and west.

Observed at 240X using the 100mm (4-inch diameter) Masiama Kellner eyepiece and 400x using the 4-inch diameter 60mm Erfle.
