Rupes Recta, The Straight Fault

Rupes Recta, craters Birt and Birt A with Rima Birt on October 7 04:30 UT (9:30 PM PDT). The other and larger crater is the triple crater complex Thebit and Thebit A and Thebit L. From these craters, a chain of craters give a long and snaky shadow. This is a 9 day old waxing moon. Telescope: 10 inch f/7.3 reflector using a 6m Vixen Lanthanum eyepiece for 309x. (Rukl 54 and 55)

Rupes Recta - craters Birt and Birt A (small craters) and triple crater Thebil, Thebil A and L on November 5 05:00 UTC (08:00 PM PST). This is a 9 day waxing moon. Telescope: 4.1 inch f/6 refractor using a 2.2mm Orion Lanthanum eyepiece for 276x. (Rulk 54 and 55) Refractor view is reversed from reflector view in the accompanying sketch.
