11/21/02 - FKC region 0198 was naked eye visible. F for bipolar with penumbra on spots on both ends of the group and a length greater than 15 heliographic degrees, K for a large asymmetric spot greater than 2.5 degrees in N/S diameter, and C means compact distribution with the area between leader and follower spots contain many spots with at least one having penumbra.
