Jupiter at 12:41 a.m. PST 08:41 UT 02/10/03

Sketched at the eyepiece. North is up. Preceeding limb is to the left and following limb is to the right. 180mm f/9 refractor, 16 mm orthoscopic eyepieces through binoviewer, and 3x (total) barlow. Magnification 300x.

Notice the features have rotated, and the seeing is not quite as sharp as at 11:30 p.m. On the preceeding limb, the huge split in the SEB has appeared, announcing the Great Red Spot will soon be visible on the limb.
