Sketched at the eyepiece. After watching Jupiter occult Ganymede at 10:39 p.m. PST (06:39 UT) I decided to sketch Jupiter throughout the evening, but a look at Saturn convinced me to do one quick sketch of Saturn first. The south equatorial belt was notched on the south edge. There were so many ringlets in the B-ring it looked a little like an 33 rpm record. Encke division and all the dark belts were visible.
