I set aside an hour each day for sketching, counting sunspots, and classifying the active regions. And sometimes I checked the sunspot drawings from the 150-foot Solar Tower at the Mt. Wilson Observatory once they were uploaded to the Mt. Wilson webpage. My 6 inches of aperture were no match but it was fun to compare the sunspot sketches anyway.
